Hi, I'm Quinn and I started this website as a way to connect with and support other women like me; those living with depression, anxiety and a need to be perfect while they balance work, motherhood, relationships and personal aspirations. It seems like every woman I talk to is struggling with these issues, especially now with the challenges of Covid. I want you to know that I hear you and understand what you are going through because I have experienced it firsthand.
I have been a perfectionist for as long as I can remember. I have also been living with depression and anxiety for over twenty five years. Unfortunately there were times when these issues dominated me and affected my decision making.
Along the way I have tried it all...therapy, medication, twelve-step and out-patient programs, workshops, exercise and spiritual work; I have also read hundreds of books on self-help. Nonetheless I've spent a great deal of my life feeling as if I had the weight of the entire world on my shoulders.
I know I am not alone. The National Institute of Mental Health Disorders, part of the National Institutes of Health, reported that 26% of Americans 18 and over (about 1 in 4 adults) suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year.
Today, my life is not perfect. I still deal with the occasional feelings of sadness, pessimism, and anger. That said, I have been able to carve out a full, happy and successful life for myself. It has taken a lot of hard work, but it has been worth it. I truly believe I was given a second chance at life and I grabbed it with both hands.
My journey towards more of my best self and life has led to many discoveries. Now I want to share them with you.

This website is a guide to how I slowly changed my life
and how I continue to do so every single day.
If you are struggling with depression and anxiety,
and looking for your inner superhero,
you've come to the right place.
Welcome.
